Oklahoma Singer-Songwriter Kareem Salama

Kareem Salama, a Muslim country singer and songwriter, draws on many inspirations for his music: the Dixie Chicks, Bob Dylan, medieval Arabic poetry, his Oklahoma upbringing and his years in law school.

News21 caught up with Salama and his collaborator / producer Aristotle Mihalopoulos at an Islamic cultural festival in New Jersey in June 2007.
