Elaine Meyer and I spoke at length with James Forman Jr. this morning on a number of topics ranging from integration and inclusion in schools to the role of charter schools in the wider public school system. We’ll be using his insights and observations to give some context to the larger stories we’re producing at News21 over the summer. This morning, he took a minute to tell us what he sees as the biggest challenge facing the charter school movement at a time of enormous growth across the country, a question we’ll be putting to a number of charter school leaders over the course of the conference. Here’s what he had to say:
