Michael Ciaglo

“At News21 the amount of time you get to spend on one subject means that, at the end of the day, you have something with so much more depth and significance than could be produced under the pressure of putting out a daily paper. As part of News21, I have been granted the privilege of helping make stories about voting rights come to life through my photos and video.”

Michael Ciaglo, of Louisville, Colo., is a graduate of the University of Oregon, where he majored in journalism with a focus on photography and multimedia storytelling. He served as the photo editor for the school newspaper, The Oregon Daily Emerald, and was on the photo staff for two student magazines. He also helped pioneer the first student iPad magazine and worked as an intern photographer in Ghana at the Daily Guide newspaper. At News21, Ciaglo produced multimedia content for the voting rights project.
