Using News21 Content

All News21 content — stories, photos, video, graphics, Flash elements — can be used by any publisher. All we ask for is credit and that we are notified of its use.

Much of the content has been conceived to be a rich multimedia presentation. Projects that are fully integrated may be difficult to pull apart. We’ll help you with that, should you want discrete elements, like a Flash component or the code to a particular approach. That it’s hard to do shows we’re doing what we set out to do, which is to maximize the use of the Web.

However, there are several options. Here are some:

>> Link to us directly
>> Use our RSS feeds
>> Frame us
>> Use selective elements — cherry-picking some things for use on a website and perhaps linking to others
>> Scrape all text elements and post them to your site
>> Use select multimedia assets to air on TV or radio

ACCESSING THE CONTENT
The breadth of topics relevant to the way America is changing has led us to create several categories that double as RSS feeds. Most major pieces of News21 content are cross-disciplinary and therefore are cross-categorized. These categories are available via the “Topics” link on the main site’s global navigation, or from this link.
